Casio Exilim EX-Z16 enters digital camera market

Casio has further expanded its Exilim range of digital cameras by rolling out the EX-Z16. This will be an entry level shooter, but be assured that it won’t be a slouch in terms of performance. Expect sleek design to merge with a wide range of easy-to-use capabilities, where among them include Easy Mode, YouTube capture and a simplified user interface. Sounds perfect to get those who are new to the world of digital photography to get started off on the right footing before they move on to other kinds of more advanced hardware.

Just what does the Exilim EX-Z16 offer? We’re talking about 12-megapixels of shooting goodness, alongside 3x optical and 4x digital zoom capabilities. Thanks to the inclusion of Easy Mode, this special interface will deliver a simplified menu, dedicated movie button, and a YouTube capture feature which lets you record and share live-action videos using but a few clicks. Basically, this is so easy to use that the only settings you need to adjust on the 2.7-inch high-density LCD touchscreen display would be the image size, flash and self timer, while te EX-Z16 figures out the rest.

All recorded video has been optimized to a web-friendly 640 x 480, H.264 format, making it a snap to transfer the latest family happenings and precious memories over to YouTube without missing a beat, thanks to Casio’s very own YouTube Uploader software. All it takes would be a few mouse clicks for you to share the latest events with the rest of the world. Not only that, Best Shot Function will be able to deliver beautiful photos with but a touch, since the camera itself will analyze your scene automatically, adjusting the settings accordingly for the best image captured possible. This also applies when you are recording down stuff on vide, and with face detection, auto focus and exposure settings applied to 23 types of scenes, you can be sure that the final product, even in the hands of a beginner, won’t look too shabby after all.
